Helmet - Betty

After all these years I still prefer Aftertaste to this and Meantime. This one doesn't have the energy of the other two I mentioned, and has a weird stoner vibe - which will surely be great live, but don't like on CD. I really prefer when Helmet goes almost punk.

And again. I really can't understand why there aren't more votes or talk around this band. They're touring Europe for the 20th anniversary of this album, go see them.

This is such a boring sound.

The snare is 100 dB louder than it needs to be in some of the songs too, but not all of them, which is weird.

Overall not a pleasant listen through my ears. There are hundreds of 90s/00s Alt bands I would put on before this.

I always like the first two songs of this album. And then the songs just repeat themselves. I never understood why they got so big as they did. If they would do mini-albums only, then they would be fantastic. But not entire albums, too repetitive

Just a really awesome and enjoyable rock album! Love it
