For those who feel that Enslaved is the only band currently putting out good progressive black metal, please enter the journey that is Clinamen | Episteme. Utilizing brave and uplifting passages juxtaposed with mournful sections of pure melancholy, Inquisitor have crafted a truly unique and versatile sophomore effort. Every facet of the album seems to be meticulously fashioned to provide a seamless flow throughout the entire work allowing the listener to become fully absorbed.

On the third track currently, but I'm really enjoying this. The use of piano to accent the completely amazing riffing adds a lot of texture that I really seek in music like this. It's nice and dark, but holds enough melody for me to suspect it's completely addicting. On top of that, the actual skill of the instrumentation is clearly very very high, which I suspect gives the band the ability to experiment a little more. Really nice find from LeKiwi. Oh, and the album cover kicks ass as well

did you ever hear their previous album? I remember checking it out a couple of times a while back and digging it quite a bit, was curious as to how this one compared

I have not, but after hearing this one I will definitely check it out at some point.

Listened to half of it and it's definitely worthy. It actually sounds like a modern Diabolical Masquerade (maybe just because I've been listening to DM during the last few days)

The last two songs are my favorites, so definitely get on the rest. I can see the Diabolical Masquerade comparison, although it hadn't crossed my mind initially. Definitely some fantastic music

Pretty good, but I don't really like it. Those vocals really grate too.

Really loved the vocals. They also know how to use piano in their extreme metal better than many bands.
