I find it hilarious that if you took out the vocals it would sound just like a regular Dragonforce song. Kind of a good example of why I find bands like that to be dreadful. However, I guess I can kind of see why they've garnered such a large following, given that stylistically they don't actually differ much from a lot of popular metal bands. The only real difference lies within the vocals, which I honestly find to be the least awful part of the song above.

I'd actually agree on that. I've always felt like the other two singers are the biggest gimmick holding the whole act back however, as their only job is to basically dance around and be cutesy. If she was the only singer, I'd actually be far more inclined to listen to these guys.

Anyway, as for my thoughts on the song itself, who are we even kidding, this is a Dragonforce song. I actually preferred the songwriting on the Babymetal album; at least that had a decent sense of its own unique identity.

For years, me and a friend used to joke about Herman Li being a potential paedophile. When we saw this news, it was the funniest thing ever.

Indeed.
I just hope only this song is like that. If they decide to go full power metal on the next album I'm not gonna follow them anymore

It's probably the same for me. It was the identity in their songwriting that got me interested in their last album, not the gimmick(s). If they continue down this road, they'll have lost that identity, and as a result, I'd probably become indifferent to them, kinda how I feel with most power metal.
