At times obstacles get in our way to do something as simple as assisting to the performances of those bands we love and adore can be. Obstacles like exams, work, parents, age, money, etc. which make us renounce to the opportunity of listening to great bands live. It has happened to me with a few bands (I say few bands because my country has not been graced with the visits of many bands), bands like Hatebreed, Six Feet Under, Soulfly, Megadeth, Iron Maiden (well, I wasn't even listening to Metal when they got here but I will blame my ignorance for missing them then lol), Judas Priest, among others.

Here you can share with your fellow metalstormers your sorrow, your frustration of missing those concerts. Do not forget to tell us why you missed them.

As for me, the last concert I missed was Dream Theater playing at our capital. Why did I miss these Progressive Metal deities? I had no way of getting into San Juan that night so I had to miss it.

I missed Behemoth a while back and it still pisses me off, why did I miss it? I didn't know they were playing! LOL. A good friend told me the day after and he went and said they were awesome so that made it even worse.

Possibly the same time I missed them. Age limitations suck ASS.

Yeah probably, except im not restricted by age, lol.

Oh well, I'm not too bothered by it now. But at the time they were my favorite band; so I can imagine I'd have cracked the shits.

Well, I'm not trying to get you in even worse mood because of that, but you have missed a one realy spectacular show. I went to see them in Munchen 2 weeks sooner and it was realy an unforgettable concert.

It's true that tickets were quite expensive, but it was definitely worthed.

I'm regretting it already and I don't even know if i'll be able to yet =(

Atheist is my favorite band too, I'm thinking about starting a fund-raiser or something.

damn that sucks. I seen them a few times already...most of their band members live in Atlanta (where I live) so that's why.

the last show I missed was Judas Priest. Had no money due to not working for over 3 months straight so I couldn't go. (I wasn't working because I had to take care of my boyfriend 24/7 who had a broken leg). By the time Judas Priest had come around, my b/f was back at work already and I was looking for a job but hadn't found one yet. I missed a few shows because of that actually. Except Testament and Maryland Deathfest...there was no way in fucking hell I was going to miss either of those 2 no matter who's leg was broken or how broke I was! Thankfully I have seen Judas Priest 3 times already so it wasn't a total loss.

You have places like that in Canada? I might miss High on Fire and Mastodon, I have an exam the next day and it would be a 3 hour drive there and back by myself, so no fun D:

I don't like either but I would chose Dalriada over Edenbridge any time. But then again you probably get to see Dalriada at least once a week if you want.

Yes, that's why I chose Edenbridge this time. I'll see Dalriada on paganfest 2, two weeks later.

Not all Americans are naive. There are some pretty crummy areas around Pittsburgh that are close to good concert venues.

Mr. Smalls is one of the better places to see a show. Its an old style church in Millvale that was bought a couple years ago and turned into a badass concert venue. It's right outside of Pittsburgh and easy to get to, but Millvale is pretty much a slum. I feel like I need a kevlar jacket everytime I go there lol.

Nah the venue is awesome! Just saw Behemoth and Septic Flesh there a little bit ago. My grandma lived in Millvale her whole life, so I'm pretty used to it down there. She owned a bar called Leoneti's Tavern.

Yeah me too, I had the money but had to spend part of it to pay a bill, and then I failed to get it again so I missed the metallica gig this last january. The worse part is that it ¡s one of my favourite bands.

And also missed Iron maiden, because of the money, and they played a day before my birthday...
