Allegaeon - Premiere New Track

As previously announced, melodic death metal outfit Allegaeon has welcomed vocalist Riley McShane to their ranks. Last year, he joined the group on tour with label-mates Act Of Defiance - now, Allegaeon is giving fans their first taste of new music with Riley via Bandcamp. To hear the new track - "Gray Matter Mechanics - Apassionata Ex Machinea" - from the band's upcoming new album, go to this location, where a full band play-through of the song can also be viewed.

Allegaeon's currently untitled fourth full-length was produced by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation) and will be released this fall. Stay tuned for details and pre-order information coming next month.

Those acoustic bits really added an extra dimension to the song, any other bands with a similar sound?

New vocalist is pretty decent. Not that Ezra was an amazing vocalist but he definitely added something unique to the band's overall sound. If their next album is anything like the last then I'm excited.

Similar sound as in melodic tech death, or as in melodic tech death with acoustic bits? Melodic tech death, yes, Ouroboros, Arsis, and to some extent Revocation (although they're more Thrash than Meldoeath). Melodic tech death with similar classical acoustic jibbly bits, not that I can recall offhand, no.
