Sanctuary - Tribute Upcoming Shows As Farewell To Warrel Dane, Announce Guest Vocalist

American metallers Iced Earth had announced a North American tour with Sanctuary before Warrel Dane passed away. It has now been announced that the tour will go on as planned, as a tribute to the fallen singer, one of metal's most revered vocalists. The band has invited a guest singer to perform Sanctuary songs and that will be Joseph Michael from Witherfall.

The shows will act as a farewell tour in tribute to the life and memory of Dane.

Sanctuary guitarist Lenny Rutledge comments: "Sanctuary has decided to continue on with the Iced Earth tour to pay tribute to our brother Warrel Dane. We have enlisted the help of our friend Joseph Michael from Witherfall. The set will consist of many old and some newer songs performed with the utmost respect and quality to honor our friend. Please join us in this farewell as we celebrate Warrel's musical legacy with Sanctuary. We look forward to sharing this tribute with all of you."

I would prefer several guest vocalists. Not just one guy doing the whole tour. The way they do it now seems like either a cash grab with a replacement for the irreplaceable or they are just too macho to admit they signed a bad contract and dont want to get sued by assholes.

Either way...... This isnt an actual tribute. The motives just arent pure.
