Here's some great underground stuff that I don't think has been mentioned yet.

Vials of Wrath (atmoblack/hipsterblack)
Feast Eternal ("a more melodic Bolt Thrower", as I've heard them described)
Monotheist (progressive death; wide variety of influences like Extol/Suffocation/Emperor/Opeth)
A Hill To Die Upon (blackened death; essentially a Christian Behemoth, with excellent vocals)

My favourite? There's a long list, but I think Extol and Theocracy probably top it since both music and lyrics are top notch. If any of the four I just posted end up releasing a lot of new material, it may just end up being one of them.

I asked both Forsaken and Nomad Son about it and they said that even though the lyrics are about biblical events and some of the band members ar Catholics, they shouldn't be regarded as Christian bands. For they do not want to spread the 'Word of the Lord' so to say.

Why you asking

well, because I have seen you mention them loads of times and was wondering about something. They advertise themselves as a non-Christian metal festival but the fact is most of the bands they have over are Christian metal bands and a couple of years ago a Christian metal label was also affiliated to the festival if I am not mistaken (the label that had Slechtvalk, Morphia and an Indonesian band on the roster, forgot botht eh name of the Indonesian band and the label though)

Most bands on the playlist are christian indeed but i think they dont want too be considered as a christian festvial.
Because there are als non christian bands, this year was swallow the sun one of the headliners

Fear dark and the indonesian band is Kekal.

Uhm, there were two chrisitan metalshops on the festival this year, nordic mission from norway and firstparadox from a village near Groningen:P
And Aardschok or something like that. And ofcourse the merchandises of the bands

To me Brainstorm always came across as a primarily Christian festrival, even though, like you said, they had Swallow The Sun this year and a couple of years ago Forsaken and also Officium Triste.
