Hi. Lately I've been coding a dummy firefox addon in order to mess with the site layout, here's what I did: (the main purpose was to make the pics larger) (also don't look a the funny colors, it's a WIP of course)

(1) for the lists

that's a list, with the list content on the left and the forum on the right.

I like to put comments within the cells, so this display seemed functionnal to me, even though the right side's emptiness is ugly

the albums aren't in a list anymore, but in blocks. Isn't that nice ? This is a "filtered" view, meaning the albums are not natively grouped by band name.

same with default view. It doesn't look good if a band's section only contains one album. Also that's just two bands displayed at once as the page height allows it.

What do you think ? do you crave to have the same ? or do you think it's lame ?
I got rid of the shoutbox too because of the stupid comments in it and all the left-side bar. Making it fold-able could be an option.

Hi. This is an update on my app. I added histograms to the 'user ratings' page. It's purely cosmetic but help to convey the stats.

Hey, I have a suggestion/request about the format of lists. I think it would be a practical addition to the site if a user could immediately see the rating that he/she gave the album right next to the picture and name (not just the average rating such as by the top 200 list).
I know one can click on the album and then see what rating I gave it, but I would like an overview function to see the list of albums with (a) overall/average rating and (b) personal rating.
I wasn't sure where to post this as I couldn't find a "feedback" page. Hopefully some mod can see this and say if this is a good idea or not. Thanks!

I strongly second this. Myself this would especially help to see whether I have already rated an album or not.

I am one of the least tech savvy people around here so I don't know how to answer this, but I can bring this up to the people who can do something about it. Mind you, this is not exactly top priority as we have been focusing more on keeping the website stable (and it has been very much so lately), so I cannot say when it will be possible.
