This is a massive triple disc two hour long jazz album dripped in tribal psychedelia. Enter at your own risk.

I got a feeling this is gonna be pretty immense. The track that's already up reminds me a bit of Pylar, in the sense of sort of combining drone with horns and a lot of free jazz influences, but it's quite different and sounds a lot darker than Pylar as well. Major hype for this one.

I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

Not really metal but one of my favorites of the year so far regardless. The sax and bass lines here are wicked sexy.

And here I was ready to flaunt my taste being seen negatively as a badge of honor

This album is fantastic. And I find it to be eminently listenable despite its length and abstract style.

I really want to hate this. Like, I really want to hate this. Everything about it?from the track titles, the length, the interview, the on-paper concepts?reads like the dude who puts LSD in your coffee when you hang out to "like, expand your mind to the metaphysical, man." A nonsensical spiral into obscurity, full of self-indulgent, faux-intellectual drivel...

Except it's fucking not. Holy shit this album is incredible, even if a bit exhausting. This might be the first time something as immersive and obscure as this actually feels genuine to me. Now I feel absolutely terrible for my pre(mis)conceptions.

Yes

I did. I approve.
Despite being so long and expecting some wacky music all over the place, it felt very cohesive and logical. Controlled chaos. Drums&trumpet combo was the best.

I don't know what this stuff is even supposed to be, but after listening to it through few times i'm now convinced that three discs and 2+ hours of it isn't enough, the world definitely needs more ethnic jazzy drone psychedelia like this. Éons is not just unique and utterly fascinating in every possible way imaginable, but it's also weirdly hypnotic and captivating in its glorious chaotic beauty. As I said, it's over 2 hours long, but it never feels like it. After the journey is over, it only makes you want more.

Oh I knew something about their sound was familiar. If you liked this album, check the other bands which share members with this collective. Indeed you can find the signatures of their music in Aksu and K-Brandin. Both are amazing and have elements of free, improvised jazz gone drone.

Upon giving myself chance after chance, I really wanted to like this, but there's no way of getting around what these two hours of boring ass flatulence ultimately provides. Dryness and a tedious lack of charismatic uncertainty for both drone or jazz. You can't romanticize what polishing a turd will change.

Solar Drone Ceremony with the bad-ass art, revealed that even as a condensed alternative for this album that, ultimately, they weren't offering much style to flair even a persona in the first place in the least of identity to the likes of Dømkirke.

There was another 2-hour psych jazz drone record I'm trying to get hold of a stream to try called At The Mountains of Madness by Electric Masada (John Zorn) (2005) that this comedy project very likely based itself upon. If anyone has any links to where I can try it is as always, kindly appreciated. ^_^

Multcultural references throughout the track names make this a very global album. The jazzy and drone parts at times excites and at other times tends to drag on a bit. The two huge songs are definitely the highlights of this album especially heliozoapolis which make use of Indian classical ragas in a drone scene.

Alright, I like this. Upon retrying this in the background during nights grinding for powerful cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!: Forbidden Memories helped my struggles with it, realize its purpose was to drone out in mundane focuses and come to its terms.

This release was considered a "pinnacle" of experimental metal to me back in 2020. I was exhilarated by the immersive sounds of this album gradually encroaching on my sense of hearing. This album is an exhibition of musical unconventionality supplementing the disappointment I had on the Ethereal Riffian's later release.
