Preordered.

But the line up doesn't sound so great as on The Source.

Not "Really" different.. It's just the same style again with a different story, would really like to hear Arjen's "Progressive Metal" side for once instead of his prog rock (with 3% metal in it), even Star One was too slack for my liking.

I used to get excited for Arjen's projects, now I find his music so over-indulgent, predictable and boring that it makes me feel ill. The worst part is that I feel guilty about that because I think he's talented AF and a great human being. Oh well, I guess I'll give Transitus a chance...

More or less the same feeling. One listens / watches Ayreon Universe, with the best of songs performed lived, and it's like you never heard anything better than that --- but you also hear everything that is to hear, and next albums seem like the same music with different lyrics. I'll still check it as soon as it's out, ofcourse.

When it comes to Ayreon, Arjen has definitely moved into "more of the same" territory musically. What changes is the concept and the cast.

And I still end up enjoying his releases.

It does not sound as something "completely different", but it is exciting to hear a Tommy Karevik and Cammie Gilbert in a same project, doing the main character voices.

This should be another side project. I just don't know what to say about this. Sounds flat as fuck ...
