I remember thinking as a kid how fun it would be to make a death metal with as stupid and insane lyrics as possible, since nobody cares about them anyway and it's all growling. Naturally Cannabis Corpse is just that, but the lyrics are mostly about marihuana and getting stoned. I guess this is supposed to be some kind of parody of Cannibal Corpse, but I think it works fine on its own even if the stupid lyrics feel just a cheap gimmick to get some quick attention.

^ I don't know if it is a gimmick but I've grown extremely tired of all the stoner bands and their dope-related names / song titles / lyrics / themes. For all I know, I much prefer to listen to death metal when stoned rather than stoner.

This album is better than anything by Cannibal Corpse, in my opinion.
