A step to a worse direction in songwriting, I thinks. This doesn't sound like the magnificent debut The Plot Sickens very much, this is slower and the dominant style is power metal. Many of the songs are highly forgettable, but Silent Anger and Here Today Gone Tomorrow are of better songwriting. Surprisingly, the Aerosmith cover is better than majority of the other songs.

I would rate this average otherwise, but the singer and the drumming make it a bit better. Still, at the end of the day, it's a disappointing album and nothing special.
