Nice, I dont like Trouble and King Diamond's voice (although his solo career is a lot better). But I would add to the classics both Manowar and Warlord.

Interesting. For me it's the other way around with KD. I find on early Mercyful Fate records his voice is more diverse and harsher, while his solo is more refined but also sounds whiny in my opinion. I guess I like the harsher vocals for the same reason why thrash or black vocals fit to their respective musical style. It's no Dio-style operatic perfection, but it fits with the aggressive riffs better

For me I hate his vocals on both of his bands but in his solo career the compositions are much better and i like Andy Laroque a lot. Anyway the early Mercyfull Fate are considered classics I cant disagree on that but I dont like them.

It's not a band I've really got into yet, but I've only managed to listen to a few albums of theirs. I will check out the one's you've selected, Hail To England has always been considered to be one of their best.

Maybe, the one I'm most familiar with is Kings Of Metal, I have given that one a go a few times in the past, and I never really got into it.
