Ah sorry about that. That's totally OK! We all have our preferences.

However, Show No Mercy does sound very different from all the other Slayer albums (it sounds similar to Judas Priest's Painkiller imo), so if you don't like thrash I recommend giving Slayer's debut another try.

(Edit: I just saw that you have in your 1986 list Peace Sells, Master of Puppets, and Reign in Blood. So I'm confused by your statement "I don't like thrash" )

I can speak about my musical preferences forever and still i wont finish. I ll just give you some hints about my taste. I dont like the raw metal of the 80s, just bass, guitar, drums, mediocre vocals and lets go(Mercyful Fate falls into that category). I dont like thrash metal, although I like some albums very much and Megadeth is one of my favourites (although i dont consider them thrash metal) and even their thrash metal era is pretty good. Master of Puppets is one of the greatest records of all time, i dont care if it is considered thrash or smash or anything, it has incredible compositions in it. As far as Slayer are concenrned I dont like them. But Reign in Blood it doesnt suck that much so is Seasons in the Abyss. So I agree that Show No Mercy is not an original thrash album but it falls in the category of raw, uncut metal which I told you I am not a fan. Anyway your point of view is right, but we all have our dislikes, and I have a lot hehehe.
