The Abbey a new band featuring past and present members of bands like Shape Of Despair, Sentenced, and The Man-Eating Tree, have made a triple announcement. Not only have they announced the release of their debut, Word Of Sin, for the 17th of February next year, but it comes as a signing to the Season of Mist label, and we can already get a taste off it through the "A Thousand Dead Witches" single, which you can listen to below.



The band comments: "We feel honored and privileged to get to write a new chapter in the history of Season of Mist - a distinguished label that has the courage and vision to do something extraordinary. We do believe that the collaboration between Season of Mist and The Abbey is going to lead us to great things. Our first single has all the basic The Abbey elements: big vocals, dissonant harmonies, hauntingly beautiful melodies and tempo changes. This is The Abbey’s ode against oppression and tyranny."
