"Inside Shells" is a very complex release & is in a way a rather mentally draining listen despite its short length. Sure talent and skill is present within the ranks of Evilyn, but at times this EP feels like a dissonant, incomprehensible sonic salad. I am a big fan of avantgarde experimental subgenre of Death Metal however I cannot rate it any higher after only one listen. If you enjoy complex arrangements, odd time signatures, dissonance and overall chaos you will appreciate Evilyn! 8.5/10
