Skyforger - To Release First Long Player In 10 Years

10 years after the release of their last studio record Senprūsija, folk/pagan metal ensemble Skyforger are now ready to return with the successor dubbed Teikas (Folktales). To celebrate the release of a new music and their 30th anniversary, the Latvians also announced a special concert on May 3rd 2025 at Arena Rīga. In a grand two-hour set, Skyforger will be thundering through their brand new compositions and old fan favourites alike. The band promises spectacular visuals and a performance by special guests, whose identity will be revealed at a later point.

Vocalist, guitarist Pēteris Kvetkovskis: "The days of fables, tales and stories being handed over from generation to generation are long gone. This tradition is not coming back ever. Fortunately, we still have so much of it noted down and preserved. In our latest album, we wanted to take the listener back to those mythical olden days when gods, deities, devils, witches and werewolves walked among people, and there were all these mysterious and wondrous places and sites right next to us, here in Latvia, that our ancestors wanted to to tell us about."

It's difficult for me to buy the ticket from Rome, Italy and buy a plane ticket to go to Riga to go to see them play live. But I will try to seek a day off from work to go there.
