Event: Saratoga
Location: Kafe Antzokia, Bilbao, Spain

In the last few years Saratoga has become one of the most important Metal bands in Spain, you can even listen to their songs on the radio and even on TV. This gig was one of the first gigs of their new tour, with which they are presenting their new album El Clan de la Lucha.

Leo Jiménez (Vocals) and Jerónimo Ramiro (Guitars)

The place was totally crowded, I even think they sold more tickets than permitted that night? Actually a venue just for 800 people is really small for such a great band. Because of this taking photos became a really difficult job, anyway I tried to do my best, that was a hard night for the press.

The show began with Quizá el sol no saldrá, this one is a good song but I think that it's too slow for opening a concert. Anyway they played some thunderous songs continuing the show: A morir, San Telmo 1940 and Con mano izquierda.

This was the second time I watched Saratoga live, and both times they did a great great concert, in my opinion they are one of the greatest Heavy Metal bands in the world, they deserve to become famous anywhere despite singing in Spanish.
I want to underline (as always) the work of Leo Jimenez (Vocals) who surely is one of the best singers nowadays.

Leo Jiménez (La Bestia) during the concert, surely one of the best points of this band.

The band was very talkative with the crowd, they seemed to be very happy in Bilbao. The next song was Heavy Metal, I think that the audience enjoyed this one a lot, it is one of Saratoga's classic songs.
They continued playing songs of their last album: Maldito Corazón and Lejos del tiempo. El Clan de la Lucha was released just a month before the gig but the crowd knew every single part of the new songs, it becomes clear that they have done a new masterpiece with this album.

Daniel Pérez behind the drums kit during the song Ratas, a speedy song of the album Agotarás.

Afterwards they played a cool ballad from their last album: Si amaneciera. For playing this ballad Leo caught a guitar, this one a very emotive moment.

The next one was Oscura la luz, this one also from Agotarás album. In my opinion this was one of highest moments of the night, I really enjoyed this one.

No and Ángel de barro were the next songs, both from El Clan de la Lucha album. They play many songs of the last album, so I missed some of the classic Saratoga´s songs(Grita, Perro traidor ?). Anyway I think that they chose a good set list.

Before leaving the stage they still played another 5 songs, I want to highlight 2 of those songs: Mi Ciudad and Las puertas del cielo (Maybe the most important song of this band)

For the encores Saratoga played Resurrección and Vientos de Guerra, two really heavy songs in order to end the concert powerfully.

The sound during the entire concert was great and the band did a great job, so I think that all of us have a great metal-time that night.

I want to thank Carmen from Centro Rock and my friend Raúl Martinez (He gave me some cool photos) for making this concert review possible.
