You won't find many bands with a more interesting history than Melechesh. Before the band's show in Derby of their first ever tour of the UK, I had a chat with Ashmedi about the band's beginnings in Jerusalem, and the story since. Have a look at the video below to see how it went:

0:05 - 0:32 "Those Whom the Gods Detest" Tour
0:32 - 2:12 The Epigenesis
2:12 - 6:30 Melechesh's history
6:30 - 7:25 Arab protests 2010/11
7:25 - 7:53 The Melechesh movie?
7:53 - 9:13 Upcoming plans and touring in general

Thanks to Ashmedi for his time, and all that helped set it up.
Conducted and edited by Barry Anderson.
Recorded by Rachel Muir.

Great interview, He seems like a cool guy, It sucks that people wouldnt just leave the band alone to make their music, without making them out to be a "Evil" in the press.

I love this band. Though I'm still sore that they're not coming to Colorado.

Baz did you drunk those drinks , looks tasty
Well IMO it was Finisnh band's video int where someone ask, have you something to say, member say NO, others have have nothing to say

It would be interesting ask such quastens to Bishop of Hexen , who's probonly more underground band but good interwiew

Met Ashmadi at the Nile gig last night. He's a pretty down to earth guy. And they seemed to really love Ireland which was nice
I was kind of taken back by how cool he was because I would have imagined most black metal musicians to be dry shites who have no time for their fans. These guys aren't. Great review

Is this just me or the guy seems really uninterested. He answered every question with a kind of indifferent attitude.
I thought the band has always been very passionate about their music, maybe he's just drunk/tired/lazy and got caught in the moment..

Good interview, they're coming to Arizona at the end of March at UB's... They really deserve to play in a better venue.
