I'm amused that his speaking voice is as bold and heavily articulated as his singing voice; that's one of the things I love about his vocals.
It's a shame that things are kind of falling apart with
Satan's Host. They really are a singular group and always have been; I praised his vocal work in particular when I reviewed
This Legacy Will Never Die, so this makes me want to revisit the album and figure out where the disjuncture is. It was definitely a weird-sounding album, but I just chalked that up to them being
Satan's Host.
Interesting that he sang with
Grim Reaper and that he's now with
Cloven Hoof. I enjoyed
Satan's Host's cover of "See You In Hell," so I think he'd be a good fit, although for obvious reasons I'm assuming there's no future with that.
Cloven Hoof is a less obvious choice but I will look forward to whatever they wind up doing together.
I'm looking forward to
The Hallowed. I was just listening to
The Deviant Chord again and they still sound great.
