I was pretty into Pupil Slicer's debut album, Mirrors, so I was already looking forward to seeing how they would follow it up. This year's Roadburn gave me a pretty huge dose of Pupil Slicer, with one performance opening up one of the days, and with Kate participating in a queer-focused panel, and guesting on a song in one of Backxwash's sets. With album #2, Blossom, already out, I was curious to see how all of this looked like from the band's perspective.

I saw them live like two weeks ago, and I did not get it. I like all sorts of strange bands, but here these elements from different styles just didn't fit together.
