Tuatha De Danann comes from Brazil and plays a nice Celtic Folk Metal and? that's a bit weird isn't it? Well at least that's original, but it doesn't mean that it will be bad, at the opposite and actually Tuatha De Danann proves album after album, that they certainly are one of the most impressive acts of the Folk Metal scene.
"Trova Di Danu" is re-edited here in France by Underclass Records but actually this album was released in autumn 2004, but now at least we have the luck to see listen to it here in Europe. Every Folk Metal fans should know this excellent band that is improving each time that we have the luck to listen to one of their new album. If you know their precedent release, the EP "The Delirium Has Just Began..." you must know that we have an important difference on the new album because if we can find the same musical spirit, we don't have any more Death vocal on the "Trova Di Danu" and above all, this time the songs aren't that dark. The ambiance on "Trova Di Danu" is clearly more clear and happy, it can maybe sound a bit pop sometime (that's certainly the only little problem of the CD) but we have a lot of good feelings when we listen to this album, yes this is this kind of music that can give smiles.
Also, it's really easy to see that the band is getting more and more musical maturity, I mean that all the songs are a bit more complex and well written and when it comes to the production that's also excellent and clearly better. The cover is always in the same spirit as the precedent albums but the sound this time is perfect, really professional. Congratulation guys?
Well, this album is just full of emotions, and Bruno Maia the talented main compositor of the band just proved to us one more time that Tuatha De Danann is just one of the leaders of the Folk Metal scene. If you like this music, believe me it's true, this album is nothing more than a real masterpiece. Then ok, maybe that some of you will regret the lack of aggressiveness sometime but the others know what they'll have to do right now, buy "Trova Di Danu" or die!!!
