Since I work for Metalstorm.ee for now 2 years, Breakpoint was one of the first bands to have the courage to send their production to us, to believe in Metalstorm.ee. You can understand that I'm more than happy today to see that this band is always alive, and release now a new album "Strange Fruit". Their last one "None To Sell" was a very good production and this one in fact could confirm my feeling that this band is more than promising.
Then how is "Strange Fruit"? Well we will see that in this review, but don't bother another time our little Frenchies as knew how to do a real good album?.

If you already know their last album "None To Sell" for sure you'll recognise that it is Breakpoint which is playing on that album too. With "Strange Fruit" we have approximately the same music like with "None to Sell" and well this is well done again and it sound really good.
The music of Breakpoint is very Thrashy with in general a slow tempo and strong guitars riff, the result of this mix of good musicians plus a really good singer with a nice Thrash/Hard Rock voice give a really interesting music. In fact Breakpoint plays a mix of Hard Rock and Thrash which sound a bit like the "Black Album" of Metallica if you want an example. With good guitars solo and good melodies, in general this new album is really catchy. At the end I can say that this band show that they don't do music for nothing, "Strange Fruit" is a real confirmation for the band.
The production is another time very good, with a good cover and artwork and the work of Fred Rochette for the recording and the mixing is another time very well done. It sound very professional and it's a real great point for the band.

But I have maybe a little problem with "Strange Fruit", don't bother it's a good album but sometime I think that it's a bit too near, musically, of their last album "None To Sell". It seem to be only like a following of this album and not really something with a new original sounding. It's not really important but I hope that the band could do something a bit more original in the future, in that case Breakpoint could become a serious good band of the French metal scene.

Anyway, "Strange Fruit" is a great confirmation of the potential of Breakpoint. This is a well done album, well written and for sure if you like metal which sound a bit old school you'll like "Strange Fruit".
Breakpoint another time show that they are in the top list of the French metal bands.
