Intense come from England, and this band use to play a strong and heavy Power Metal. Since 1997 and their first EP, it was a totally blackout for one of the most promising band of the style from UK. Luckily, the band do is come back today with this excellent "Second Sight" and believe me that if you are a fan of Iced Earth, Nevermore and co, you'll have to keep an eye on this band.

A long time considered as an underground band, Intense with this new production would certainly cross the line that do that you're a recognised band.
First of all I can only congratulate the band for such professional work. The production and the sound of the album are really excellent, really this one is in the vein of the "big" American productions a la Iced Earth and some others bands. A perfect sound very well mixed and a great cover [again] by the master JP Fournier show that this time the band doesn't do things for nothing. Maybe the only problem can come from the fact that the lyrics are not in the booklet, it's a detail maybe but well I hope that in the future we could have it, because it's relatively important for the fans.
For the music, we have a strong Power Metal, with strong and speedy Guitars riffs. The good point for me with this album come from the fact that even if it's Power, all the tracks are very dark. And well I think it's a really good point for the band to do songs which are not too "happy" if you see what I mean.
One other great stuff with this album is the potentiality of single hits that we have. Really some songs on this album are just killers, "Inside Torment" or "Collision Of Destinies" for example are in the vein of the best songs of the genre. On the other hand, you'll see that the band is also able to do great and beautiful ballads like "Autumnheart". Nothing to say?
With a great singer and great musicians [the guitarist are able to place real amazing solo in all the songs] which give all their convictions for the music of the band, it's not hard to understand that "Second Sight" will certainly be one of the best Power album of the year.
Maybe the only thing that I could ask for the future could be a bit more of personality for the band and for their music, because with just a bit more of originality in the future, believe me that Intense will certainly become one of this band that all the Metal lovers could only respect a lot.

"Second Sight" is more than a surprise, this is a great new album of Power Metal. I'm really happy to see that today; bands from UK which do Power are not anymore uniquely in the underground, and with that I'm happy to see that finally Intense can produce their first real album.
If you like "real" Power metal no doubt that "Second Sight" is one of the album that you'll have to buy this year. This is well done by an excellent band and for sure we will hear of them a lot in the times to come. Power Metal, have a look on "Second Sight" and Intense, they deserve it for sure.
