Delirious comes from Germany and plays German? Thrash Metal. Even if the band was created in 1990 "Made For The Violent Age" is only their 3rd albums and if it's not a real revolution we're in front of an album with a lot of variety and it's a nice surprise actually. I didn't know the band before but hey, some good old Thrash made in Germany never hurts right?

"Made For The Violent Age" is an excellent surprise for me. "German" Thrash is not my favorite Thrash Metal but when it's well done I don't have a lot of problems to listen to such music. And Delirious produced something damn excellent and if I don't say that we're in front of the new Kreator, believe me we're not far of their level. The majority of the songs are potential hits and with an album like this one no doubt that Delirious will become a really well known band in the future.

The album is really varied; you'll be able to always find super melodies with some really speedy and aggressive Thrash songs but also mid tempo ones and even ballads. The songs are well-written, super complex but they're however always really catchy and never boring. If it sounds a bit like the last Kreator there is also some passages in the vein of a Nevermore (like on "Sleep In Peace").

There are three different vocals on the CD. Sometime Markus Bednarek sings with a classic Trashy voice some other times we're not far of Death and finally we can have a clean one but every time it's pleasant and fits perfectly with the excellent melodies of the songs. Actually, all the musicians of the band are impressive and are able to play great things, though we can hear all the instruments (even the bass) perfectly and that's a good point in my opinion.

At the end, "Made For The Violent Age" is solid as rock and I can only say good things for this album. Oki, this is not Bay Area Thrash, it doesn't sound US and I know that some Thrash purist won't be addicted by this album, but let's forget them because we're in front of an excellent piece of music. Don't miss this release if you like Thrash...
