The strong points of this CD are most importantly the way that they mix power with melody. That mix is the perfect mix for a Power Metal band, and they have it. I got proof of this with the song "Welcome To Dying," a really powerful song with an awesome and very melodic guitar solo; this song is one of my favourites of the CD. But my favourite song is "Lost In The Twilight Hall," there's no doubt about it as the best song of the CD. It has an incredibly catchy chorus and it's also really melodic. So, it's a masterpiece.
Obviously the album doesn't finish here. We have the great ballad "Lord Of The Rings," the perfect song for a Blind Guardian concert. "Tommyknockers" is a really strange song, but the members of the band are awesome in some parts of the song, I was really impressed when I heard this. The only problem with this CD is that it doesn't have any song that we can say it's a FUCKING masterpiece; it doesn't have the "super-song." The best song is "Lost In The Twilight Hall" but it probably isn't their most well-known song... However, we can't talk about weak points in this CD because it doesn't really have any. So, I can definitely say that this album is better than the previous one "Follow The Blind."
To sum up, good Blind Guardian release in which we can corroborate their musical improvement and this would be a good example of the sound they should make for their next releases. This band is the perfect example for a band that can do no wrong...
Highlights: "Welcome To Dying," "Lord Of The Rings," "Lost In The Twilight Hall"
