Decline Of Humanity is not a newcomer. The band was formed in 1999 but only released two demos before that they split in 2004 to reborn in 2006. Lately, the French label Thundering Records signed the band and they release now an EP, "Corrosive". This is EP is really good and extremely promising, so if you like technical Death Metal you'll have to remember this name.

"Corrosive" is just an EP and with only 25 minutes of music and only six songs, that's a bit short. But no doubt, this is an impressive release. The band plays a really technical Death Metal which is mixed with a lot of other Metal influences (from Thrash to Hardcore?). It's brutal really and not commercial (we're not in front of a new Gothenburg Death Metal release) but hyper technical with a lot of memorable guitars soli and some killer melodies. If you like real Death Metal which is not simple, repetitive and boring, I'm quite sure that you'll love this album.

The recording, without being the best one, is really good. And I have to say that the video clip and the 20 minutes of live video recorded at the Killer Fest 2005 are two really cool bonuses. In fact, even if it's just an EP, this release is a good album, musically speaking evidently but in reason of its nice production too. When you know that the label sell the CD at a nice price, I don't understand why you shouldn't buy the release.

"Corrosive" is more than promising! If Decline Of Humanity is able to confirm my words when they will release their first album, I can tell you that they will be able to become a famous Death Metal French band like Benighted. Time with tell but "Corrosive" is a great surprise and I'm ready to bet a lot of money on this combo.
