New Anciients and Time II, sounds like a great day of metal to me.

Seriously don’t understand why people expect different from Leprous, Katatonia, Anathema, Ulver, or any of these bands that haven’t played metal in years. They are still the same band, they’re just not interested in that style

I agree. Well performed and well produced, but after my initial listen I feel at most whelmed. The standout was the guitar work, which felt like Jari has been listening to a lot of Marty Friedman

I'm just about finished it. It's obviously well written and performed, but it's soooooo sterile. Metal IMO is supposed to have at least a little edge.

BW - I'm going to have a guess and say you won't like it much going on the fact you weren't into Time I, but I'll have to wait and see.
