The Cure is very good. It reminds me both "Pornography" and "Bloodflowers".

Blood Incantation's was forward thinking at least, somewhat innovative which gives it merit, but I feel like its heavier side was half-baked, whereas Iotunn boasted great songwriting. Both are huge steps forward for both bands tho

Blood Incantation's new one is probably my favorite of the year. Well that or the new Cure album.

Yeah definitely a matter of tastes :). I've been a sucker for melo death for years, and Iotunn was an instant love for me back then. But I understand people can get tired of it.

Blood Incantation on the other hand mixed something unique, and you are right about it being more like a collage but I enjoyed all parts.

Different taste I guess, when I was listening to Iotunn I felt like I was hearing something I’d heard many times before, but with far worse production. They are good at it, but it’s a very tired style for me.
