Melodic Death Metal is a very oversaturated genre, but I do have bands that I love dearly residing within the context of melodeath. There may be bands ranked very high that you other people may shake their heads at, but it doesn't really matter, I love these bands just the way they are.

	1.	Dark Tranquillity The ultimate. Whatever your argument is, shut it.
	2.	Arsis I guess they are more technical than melodic, but they are fantastic in all respects!
	3.	Soilwork One of my first bands in the genre, and though they suck nowadays, their old material is impeccable.
	4.	Children Of Bodom They never were ones for their lyrics, but the music here is absolutely masterful.
	5.	Eternal Tears Of Sorrow I don't know what it is, but no matter what mood I'm in, I'm always willing to listen.
	6.	Wintersun One album, and yes this band is still in the top 10. Pretty impressive eh?
	7.	At The Gates Mostly just for SAtS, but I cannot believe how talented they are. I WISH they would make a comeback ):
	8.	Edge Of Sanity Dan Swano is a friggin beast. I LOVE Purgatory Afterglow and the Crimson saga so much <3
	9.	Dissection It's a stretch but I'd do anything to get these guys in here. Just another one of those great nineties bands.
	10.	In Flames Not as good as they used to be, but damn, their 90's albums + Clayman are stellar records in their own right.
