4. Equilibrium - Sagas
5. Moonsorrow - V: Hävitetty
6. Doom:VS - Dead Words Speak
7. Opeth - Watershed
8. Forefather - Steadfast
9. Septicflesh - Communion
10. Motörhead - Motörizer
11. Horna - Sanojesi Äärelle
12. Enforcer - Into The Night
13. Judas Priest - Nostradamus
14. AC/DC - Black Ice
15. Slipknot - All Hope Is Gone

Oh yes, this was a hard pick. I had to dig deep into the wide area of my 7 ratings in order to come up with 11 highlights from 2008.

I didnt get into any Gojira ever.

Another pretty small year and we once again don't have many albums in common.

5. Spite Extreme Wing - Vltra
6. Kaevum - Prakt
7. Protest the Hero - Fortress

10. Fractal Generator - The Cannibalism of Objects

Non metal stuff:

1. Midori - Aratamemashite, hajimemashite, Midori desu.

The benefit of the small years is, we have extremely heteregeneous top lists, which thereby become even more interesting.

Hey you got 15 out of it, that's impressive, I was surprised how slim the pickings were for me in this year.

If I had to give it credit for something it seems 2008 was the year Thrash was well and truly alive again as a viable genre and that's still going today, so there's that at least.

I know the feeling - I also have a very specific prog taste. It's hard to predict which prog I'll like and which prog I won't. But some grow on me, even if I can only digest them in small doses

Psycroptic's (Ob)Servant is still one of my favorite records.
