I first listened to Insomnium in 2014 when I was reading through the MS top 200 albums list and saw Above The Weeping World was one of the highest-rated melodic death metal albums. I hadn't listened to them before, but found that album to be a good mixture of melody memorability. Since then, I've gone on to discover their impressively consistent lineup of albums and they have become one of my all-time favourite bands.
