I get why people would be disappointed with the later era of Opeth but I still think Heritage and Pale Folklore are great and ICV is good as well. Sorceress can fuck off though

Valid point, Velllichor. I have an easier time with that with bands I don't have a deep emotional connection to. In Opeth's case I find it super hard to acknowledge that change because of what it feels like could have been.

But I also think we just like different things in music, I love when bands change sound over their career and you get to hear their take on different sounds and genres. I’d rather them take a risk even if it’s not always great.

In some way we can say its selling out but I mean in general bands
