As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis has been sentenced to six years in prison in a San Diego Superior Courtroom for attempting to hire a hit man to kill his wife. In February, the singer pleaded guilty to soliciting an undercover cop to murder Meggan Lambesis, whom he had married eight years prior and adopted three children with. At the time, he faced up to nine years in prison. According to Radio.com, the verdict was handed down as more than three dozen people, out of the 80-plus spectators present, wore yellow felt hearts in support of Meggan Lambesis. Three of Lambesis' bandmates - Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert - were present at the sentencing.

Originally set for July 18th, Accept's new album, the next chapter in their book of heavy metal, will now be out on August 15th in Europe and August 19th in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The opus Blind Rage tracklist has now also been revealed as well as the different formats of the album. Upfront will be the single release of the opening track "Stampede," which will be out on July 11th, digitally and on a limited vinyl edition. San Francisco-based progressive death metal outfit Fallujah announces the completion and pending release of their new full-length album. This year, the band will release The Flesh Prevails. The album was mixed, mastered and engineered by Zach Ohren (Animosity, Suffocation, All Shall Perish) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California over the course of a few months and features guest appearances from Christian Muenzner (Obscura, Necrophagist) and the voice of Roniit Alkayam. The cover artwork was a collaborative effort between Poland's Tomasz Alen Kopera and the band's vocalist, Alex Hofmann.
