10:16 - Spirit Molecule Cool review Willy, I'm still giving the album a couple more spins online. I think there are some cool parts but overall it didn't do much for me. But heck, the production is awesome. Got this nice big sound with all the layers
08:41 - Lit. >Implies they weren't already the scum of the earth before.
08:14 - huascaman [link] ...Picketing a funeral? --- these baptists have officially transcended human garbage status.
07:38 - Moose Revocation's upcoming fifth studio album will be self-titled I see. I really dislike when bands do that. Oh well, still very much looking forward to it.
07:08 - LeChron James steroid use clouded his judgement? yeah, okay. see ya there.
06:39 - psykometal More news about Tim Lambesis if anyone is interested: [link]
Great list, gets my vote. Some notes:
1. Ensiferum IMO kicks Iron's ass so hard.
2. Agalloch's Ashes must be higher.
3. Windir is missing. Borknagar's self titled is a nice addition too. I don't think you'll like the later though, Angel Lament. It's kinda raw.
Again this is one of the mightiest lists on the site.

well, first of all: thanks alot!
1- I don't know why, but I Like Iron much more than Ensiferum, it got two of my fav songs: Iron and Lai Lai hey...
2- I love Ashes, its just the concept is the first 10 are like on the same level, like they're all number one, then Ashes comes in the second place, I don't know if you got the idea, but it's like that...! I guess I can lift it a bit higher though!!!
3- No problem, I'll try it at once!

Try Windir and Borknagar. You'll like Windir, but I'm not sure about Borknagar.
Good list, but why there are only two Oriental folk bands?
These are my recommendations for you, very decent albums:
Aeternam - Disciples Of The Unseen (Similar to Arkan)
Myrath - Hope
Mezarkabul - Unspoken
Amaseffer - Slaves For Life
hey, thanx aloot!
the reason I didn't include Aeternam, is that simply I didnt like their album that much!
but I love Amassefer's and actually one of my fav but completely forgot about it, I will add it right now!!
Myrath, I've been meaning to try them, and do you mean Mezarkabul that Turkish heavy metal band that has a song called Anatolia??

Yeah Myrath are great, you should try both of their albums "Hope", and "Desert Call".
Yes. Mezarkabul the Turkish band.
About Aeternam well their album is very similar to Arkan's Hilal, so I thought you might like the album, but anyway.
Im starting to see Kivenkantaja too high on most lists where I'm finding it out of Moonsorrow's work. Their most overblown and overrated album. I've always thought Verisäkeet is their best, and since then have they had still this more black metal influenced darker style. That's me. But it always has annoyed me when I see Kivenkantaja on the top of the mountain and Verisäkeet nowhere to be seen when it should be there...

Actually, Verisakeet is a good album, but I didnt like it like the rest three included, plus I've only listened to it fewer times, so I haven't included it yet, maybe I will after more listens!
and I think that Kivenkantaja is a wonderful album, folk speaking!

I'm the opposite with Kivenkantaja, with that said I mean I've only listened to it a few times as opposed to Verisäkeet. In which its always had kept my interest greatly then Kivenkantaja, though every time I'll put it on now and then do I forget how awesome it is at times. But I love Raunioilla, Jumalten Kaupunki/ Tuhatvuotinen Perintö and Tuulen Tytär/ Soturin Tie quite the lot!
You seem to have a few nice neofolk albums. It's not my area of expertise, but I do have a few recommendations you might enjoy. Not albums, but bands:
Tenhi
:Of The Wand And The Moon:
Espers
Hexvessel
Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat
Then there's more traditional folk. Corvus Corax try to play authentic medieval music or something. Fairport Convention are legendary for a reason. I also like Pekko Käppi, who plays the jouhikko, a traditional Finnish/Karelian bowed lyre.
As far as metal goes, you seem to have a Falkenbach album in there. I guess it means you prefer Heralding over Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty, but if you haven't checked Ok Nefna, you should. I think it's easily their best.

Wow, awesome recommendations... Thanks!!!
I got Of the Wand and the Moon, but havent tried them yet.... as for Falkenbach, I tried only Heralding and Triuida (their latest), and I will try that one you mentioned ASAP!!
as for the rest, I will try them when I get the chance, but that Pekko Kappi, what does he play? I didnt understand what that "bowed Lyre" means!
first of all: I dont like raw black metal, in fact I hate it!
secondly: there is no "Nattens Madrigal" in the list, there are only the first two albums by Ulver, which are both folkish and definitely not raw black, look again in the list...!!
Also, since this list is almost exclusively folk-metal, here are some other recs for pure neofolk:
Faun
Nechochwen
Novemthree
Neun Welten
Vali
Frostmoon Eclipse (only their album Dead and Forever Gone)
Nest
Of course there are tons of others, but try these out!

Sweet, let me know which ones you like!
Ok, after more than three months, I can tell you, I've tried Fauan, Neun Welten, Nest, Vali and they all sound awesome, especially Neun Welten, so Thanks alot
but the others I can't seem to find them anywhere...
