That Nader Sadek album is a monster.
Agreed.Glad u liked it(i feared it wasn't talked abt enough here). It has the highest number of listens of any album in my list. Its just perfect to listen to.But i got too stuck around with it, it was way too catchy and addicitive. There is a lot of albums still to be added here.I'm currently listening to them. |

No Septicflesh on here?
Sweeet. Already better than most 2011 death metal lists. |

From the tracks i've heard, i dont consider them death metal(more of a symphonic metal). After a few spins today,i'll make sure whether to add them or not. |

You should check out Archspire if you like tech death...my fave tech death release of all time atm...
Edit: You wanna talk about underrated and under talked albums, Archspire's All Shall Align got almost no recognition despite my constant hyping on all kinds of DM lists and threads here on MS... |

Sure..I have it already.I'll give it a few spins today. There's still a lot unheard from 2011 in DM for me. The albums here are the only ones i have listened fully to be able to rank them. As far as TDM is concerned,Did u try Monumental Torment's record, it has got a Drum machine that is played at AgoraphobicNosebleed speeds with Brain Drill/Viraemia style riffing. Pretty badass imo. |

|
|
Ok... Archspire and Gigan added. The latter was full of electronic sounds and sweet-souding effects while the latter made up for the lack of viraemia this year. Azarath easily blasts away as good as Hate eternal may ever get while the intriguing Towards the megalith by Disma was a slow grinder. |

| I noticed you stated that you found about 15 new bands off my list but I wanted to add that of all of those (aside for Archspire) you should also really check out Demisery and Ouroboros. Both of these bands put out very impressive DM releases last year. |

I second this. |

| Deicide's shitfest higher than Immolation? Meh. :S |
|
|
|
| Also, I think you want to really give Ouroboros's "Glorification Of A Myth" a listen. It deserves a high spot on here. |

Providence had the most uninspired songwriting i had ever witnessed from Immolation especially considering how good their last album was.And I personally liked the slick production of To Hell With God, hence the ranking. |

Perhaps true, but Deicide's was also uninspired. Also, "Illumination" beats the crap out of any song from To Hell With God. =P |

There wasn't anything extrodinary or original expected from Deicide.Whereas Providence has nothing to do with what Immolation was recently doing. They went downhill unnecessarily. |

Still 5 more albums to be added.... |

Melodeath isn't proper Death Metal. As for the rest, thanks for the suggestions. |

And a thrash metal album tops the list
and another thrash album on 47.
And what is current day Cynic doing in a death metal list? |

Both Legion Of the damned and Deceased are Death thrash and OSDM respectively. Thanks for the tip on Cynic (It must've been added while i was initially writing the list). |

| Legion Of The Damned are pure thrash along the line of the harsh German thrash bands and Deceased are pure thrash as well. No idea where people get the idea from that there is death metal in their sound. And they are totally not old school death metal at all. |

From The MS Database here... Maybe. |

Pretty good list overall. Personally though, I would've put Obscura and Beyond Creation a little higher and also thrown on Septic Flesh's The Great Mass. But that's just me: I like proggy/unorthodox death metal |
