I think Steven Wilson needs to take a good long break from music. I think the old hipster might be burnt out. He should just produce and enjoy life for a few years and then try to write a good album again.

"King Ghost" is shaping up to be my favorite song of the year so far.

It's my favorite song on the album by a mile.

Well, King Ghost and 12 Things I Forgot ended up being the two best tracks on the album. Everything else floats around average, maybe slightly above average.

I think this album would have benefitted from an outside songwriting partner, possibly someone who knows this style better than Steven. There are some decent ideas here but the end product just ends up being mediocre.

*And an outside lyricist would have helped.

He was so creative with bright ideas but now he reached the point where I cannot listen his new music more than once.
