Right, Firewind from Firewind. Often I question when a band with many albums under their belt decide to release an eponymous album years down the line. In this case, they do get a pass as they explained it by saying this feels like a re-launch of the band by bringing Herbie Langhans as a vocalist, as he does sound very much like their first singer Stephen Fredrick. The first track is very good. The rest of the album is quite predictable. You've heard this stuff many times before. For example the second track has very similar riffs to "Into The Fire". I don't know, their first album is still their best, followed by The Premonition. But these last 3 records have been quite underwhelming imo. That being said, "Immortals" is definitely the best from the last three records.

Guz told they want made best firewind album ever, but well best albums are first what you made when you are young. Here it dont fitts, because its killer album, simply killer one of best albums IMO

Very good album from start to finish. Solid 8 however, I prefer Immortals still. Of course The Premonition is considerably more interesting and better.

After two listens I find this to be a quite lackluster album. All My Life is the only song that gets my blood running. Space Cowboy with it's Big City Nights intro is also some what nice. I was really hoping this would light a new fire in the band as I love Herbie Langhans voice but no...
