The EP was pure quality and so is this; superb production, killer atmosphere. If I had a complaint, it would be that the riffs in "The Mantis" don't really live up to the fantastic, haunting intro. Great album overall, I'd be very surprised if this doesn't end up in quite a few best of 2021 lists come the end of the year.

It's pretty good indeed. The last three tracks are somewhat underwhelming compared to the first five though.

Yep, this is an impressive development from their EP, the keyboards are well integrated and the balance of melodic elements and the black metal side is well-judged

This album will live forever, maybe new essentiell classic what can not die. I listened this 14 times, I still can not get, energy, awesome atmosphere, good drumming, good touch, might get best debut, best bm, award, best Greek album (if true metalheads only can vote)
This is where Nik should do some pen job , write reviev whit pen, scan it and upload

After an excellent EP released in 2020, the duo of Jim Mutilator and The Magus now present to us their first full-length album. This is a continuation of the previously developed sound and shows that Yoth Iria is a project that aims to show a more melodic and epic side of Black Metal. After an excellent opening with "The Great Hunter", follows what is my favorite song from the album, "Yoth Iria", an atmospheric and powerful song that demonstrates the tone of the album perfectly. The following tracks do not disappoint and continue with the established sound, culminating in the final moment, "The Luciferian", where the atmosphere created leaves us completely breathless. This is an excellent album, and it will not surprise me at all if it ends up being one of my favorites this year.

Damn I'm kinda disappointed by this, had a lot of hope after seeing how well recieved it was. Not a bad album by any means but far from an album of the year contender, at least imo

I found it a very enjoyable album, it's very Atmospheric, and with some solid Necrophobic style riffs, This is a band that looks promising in the black metal scene, maybe the next Rotting Christ who knows? can't wait to hear what they do in the future.

Musically those 3 were instant favorites for me but maybe you look at them more critically. Well I am just a layman.

This shit is thoroughly good. But it's no surprise to anyone familiar with either of the members. They've been around since the late 80s. Magus, or Magus Wampyr Daoloth to his friend and family 😁, lives for this shit. Necromantia was the shit back in the day. I still remember the "controversy" around their cover of Manowar's Each Dawn I Die... Those where the times boy...

It's a tad too late for that, mate. Magus must be 60 yo by now 🤣🤣🤣

Wow I can't believe Magus has been around for that long, and I didn't realise how much influence he has had on the Greek Black Metal scene. There is no wonder this album is this good.

This is more like blackened heavy metal, very enjoyable stuff nonetheless. A little weaker than their EP.

IMO this must be AOTY.
Normally I don't like Black metal much, but this album might be the best thing I've heard this year.
