For something with drum programming and coming from the BDM genre, this is pretty good. I cannot say the same for some of their song names though. I think the songwriting is very good. It doesn't fall into the trap of relying on slamming riffs for emphasis or noodling incessantly to show some kind of prowess/bravado. Technical only when it needs to be.
