Since Stigma Neurotech offers nothing that resembles any kind of metal and to be honest, that's its last good album for me. I like Wulff's solo and NeuroAxis projects but what I'd really like to hear from him is a mix of The Decipher Volumes and Infra Versus Ultra and alike.

wat lol.Solace is metal as fuck!! great album maybe the best of Neurotech ever IMO

Couldn't disagree more. The same futurepop
and industrial music shit from after Stigma, I hear nothing metallish in this album, and the fact that it has some more or less heavy riffs here and there adds nothing against my perception. The riffs work for nothing but to make a kind of boring and uninspired effect that is very present on Neurotech's albums since after the great Infra Versus Ultra. Overall saying, Solace is not bad, but adds very little to nothing to the project's discography.

"industrial music shit" xD, I guess you don't like electronics dude. I come from Aggrotech & EBM background and Neurotech always had boring guitars to make room for amazing electronics, now it's even heavier compared to previous albums, so it's a big step forward in my opinion

I'm not a big fan of electronic when it comes to mixing it with metal, really. But this is not the case here. Even Front Line Assembly, which is not a metal band, makes its sound go very metallish at times, despite all electronic soundscapes they use. I don't understand the criteria people use here to have a band's profile activated, but from my perspective, Neurotech should be among those "invisible bands", while some other should be featured in the site. This is not metal. There are many other that aren't too, but offer a heavier blend that gives the metal vibe in a more obvious way.

isn't that what Neurotech has always been about?

"To be about" and "to be bound by" are two conditional sentences very different in their very core. Neurotech has always been about mixing synthetic effects and metal, but not bound by that approach, especially by the predominance of electronic sound muffling the guitars, which is what I hear from Stigma ahead.

Okay.. so that's why everything after Stigma is better cheers!

In the end, it's merely a matter of taste. Many people hate it, but I did like last Sirenia's album. Even though having a massive electronic overlaying, that disc still sounds pretty much metal to my ears.

I remember playing a couple of tracks from Evasive to a friend that was really into electronic music back when I was yet to delve into it in the same way, and he thought they were fine but a bit meh. Having explored electronic music quite a lot more in the intervening years, I can understand where he was coming from. I think Wulf's best served mixing the electronics with the metal, because I don't think either side is that strong by itself, but when he combines both sides together at his best, it's a good synthesis. There's a few really nice moments on this album, but overall I don't think it's going to rival Infra Versus Ultra or the other strongest rleeases from the band

The reboot was not something special in my opinion :/ Some tracks stood out though: Solace and The Ashen Fields.

Not very exciting. Neurotech albums just doesn't do anything for me, i suppose.
