Sermon Of Flames ain't got shit on this colosseum.
The French really do everything you love but better.
Je ne sais quoi.

Still have not listened to it completely, but it might be their most diverse and abstract work. Seems like they have tuned down their hardcore accent in favor of a more post metallic sound, so at times there is a clear hint of ulcerate. In addition, the abrasive and chaotic changes and the tendency to abuse the song structure reminds me of Imperial Triumphant. Furthermore, they have fully embraced noise this time and use it to make the record more disturbing, despite the fact that it is their least heavy record.

Very good. I had never heard them but there is nothing hardcore here, it sounds like a dissonant avantgarde-black metal with electronic elements and noise of high quality and darkness. Really enjoyable.

Both bands did good jobs, I don't think one is better than the other. This is not sport, you can enjoy all the albums you want equally.

There are definitely elements of mathcore and a heavy dose of breakcore (both genres adjacent to hardcore, hence the -core suffix) to go along with the black metal and noise. But I agree that labeling it hardcore is mostly inaccurate when there are much more apt genre tags available. If a staff member reviews it, they will more than likely change that.

Disappointed, too much disjointed Ulcerate/DsO worship, I had to force myself to listen to it in its entirety

Very odd comment. If anything this album has the least amount of dso influences. Plenty of times it’s not even metal.

Well, they are less frequent than in previous records but the dissonant metal segments are totally DsO-like
Otherwise indeed I hear more Converge+Ulcerate, but still too much wankery for me
