Maybe one of epicest albums I ever heard in a while .

I very much anticipated this release because I loved their EP in 2020 and wanted to include it in the Clandestine Cuts but the band had already signed to Cruz Del Sur Records. This album is epic af indeed, with members of my beloved Satan's Hallow, among others. I have only listened to it once, but it will get many plays for sure. Fans of Viking-era Bathory, Scald, Atlantean Kodex, and DoomSword should definitely listen to this.

I am impressed by this one, but not as impressed as when I first listened to it. It's a unique sounding album, that has it's own original style, but has several heavy metal influences. It also has it's epic moments, much like in later Iron Maiden albums, but it also has it's share of dull moments, where I think sections could of perhaps been cut short a wee bit.

Some of the melodies though are outstanding, especially the accoutic passages, the opening to "Northern Skies" being my favourite passage. The vocals are also pretty good, they have a Dio vibe to them, maybe not the same standard vocal range of Dio, but the sound and vocal style.

Phenomenal! A unique mix of Viking-era Bathory, Running Wild, and Dio! A true genre-spanning effort with folk elements, operatic vocals and traditional heavy metal guitar playing. Some ballads, some fist-pumping anthems, some atmospheric instrumentals... a great experience!

The best album of 2022. It is an ablolute 10. I love it.

A lovely concoction of epic doom, heavy metal and folk elements.
