The surrounding area of the Mountain you showed doesn't look as inhospitable as Mordor though, I don't think I'll be struck down by a Nazgûl on my travels there

First single a bit "meh"...safe and average. Hope the rest of album is not as mediocre. Still looking forward seeing them live next year though.
As far as the cover...like many people I thought Bell Witch on first look...and then Abigail Williams...you know what I mean!
If Obituary changed their sound noticeably, would people listen to it, or complain about the change?
So i don't know if the single is safe, i would not use that word. They stick to their sound. Nothing wrong with that. Average though? No, I thought it was quite good, I enjoyed it.

I thought the two primary purposes for the internet were cat memes and overreactions.
I think the cover is more like for Funeral Doom band which are usually great looking. As for music, it's pretty good but didn't find enough great moments. I'm not too familiar with the band and was a bit surprised it's formed in the eighties. Maybe I should educate myself and listen to some old albums if I have the time.
It's good and I like it. I didn't expect anything that new or innovative anyway, just one of my favourite old school death metal bands doing their thing. They might play it a little too safe, but at least they're entertaining to listen to.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!
It's Obituary alright, lot's of groovy riffing, wailing solo's, heavy bass, cool rhythmic drumming and their usual effective crushing guitar tone. The songwriting is far from their best, and Tardy is a shadow of what he once was from his early performances, but it has a consistent solid flow, groovy rhythm and quality sound like no other band which I like, surprisingly I rather enjoyed this one.
I'm not 100% sure if "War" is the Bathory cover but I thought it was a decent song regardless.
This is Obituary. Chuggy riffs and groove, some thrash pockets, a few nasty breakdowns, and the sickest vocals in death metal history. I wouldn't have it any other way.
