Would we really be expected to believe the same individual behind the dreamy, expansionist drone antics of Neptunian Maximalism and ZAÄAR is also in command of the blackened death juggernaut that is Ôros Kaù? Well.... I suppose in a world where a federally - indicted individual can still seek political office, anything is possible.

This is one of thoe chaotic Voidhanger black metal releases that's a bit too 'maddening chaos' without anything particularly distinguishing about it or offering something to latch onto. It's still pretty good, but it can be a bit grating at times

This is apparently supposed to be the first part of a "twin album" release plan, from what Guillaume has told me. The second album is actually set to be a lot more doomy and hypnotizing, and you can sort of see how the final track here actually sets the tone for that.

I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

One of the most atmospherically disturbing releases I've listened to all year, thanks to the pure evil vocals, raw production, and sheer overwhelming dissonance. It's definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea this, but if it makes you feel uneasy then I suppose Ôros Kaù have done their job right. "Bios-Phos-Metis" is just bonkers, it's like a soundtrack for a sadistic ritual.
