I’ve always felt that Fallujah are a band that more metal artists should take inspiration from; on Corryvreckan, Hand Of Kalliach demonstrate that they feel the same way.

Quite an interesting album - there's folk elements and melodeath elements, but it doesn't quite feel like either melodeath or folk metal, and those almost synthetic-sounding ethereal clean vocals add an unexpected dimension, I don't know if there are any effects on the vocals but it takes my mind a bit towards some cyber-metal acts

Edit: On a second listen, what I was thinking might be reminiscent of 'cyber-metal' acts is actually quite clearly a similarity to Fallujah; googling the two bands' names, it's clear from interviews that these guys are fans of Fallujah, so the similarity is likely intentional. It's a cool mesh of sounds though - Fallujah with the technicality dialled down and replaced with folk hints and melodeath sensibilities

I love this album, the synergy between the clear vocals and the growling is fantastic.
