Bloodsimple's Red Harvest is one of those albums that fail to impress for no apparent reason. Everything looks promising on paper - Tim Williams and co. stray further away from the debut's nu-metal leanings, offer jack-of-all-trades metal with rare feeling of cohesiveness, feature generally solid songwriting and yet still manage to bore the hell out of me. This is a far more cohesive effort, as pointed out by Jerry in his review, but it also doesn't feature any standout aspects to help separate each song. The eponymous track has an understandable "single" quality to it, but it's a little too digestible for what it should have been.
