Definitely not ambient black metal, as listed. I recommend changing that to post-black metal. EDIT: Thanks to the mod that changed the style. That's more accurate.

Like their Austrian counterparts in Harikiri for the Sky, the music from this act draws from more atmospheric and melodic influences without squarely putting them in the "post-black metal" category. The consistency of the songs does fluctuate, with some snoregasms toward the middle of the record. The stand-out song is VERACHTUNG, which surprised me with its Type O Negative / Woods of Ypres vibes. You'll dig this record if you're into that emotive variety of post-black metal. Head to head against Alcest, though, Alcest takes the win.

The songs are great, but the original version (Todbringer) has more passion and atmosphere, so I prefer that one.

I've given this a listen without even listening to the original Todbringer but I'm really liking what I'm hearing, it has so many wonderful melodies, and quite a majestic atmosphere without emphasizing on one element more than the other.

It's good but also so unnecessary since Todbringer is their best album and this one does not change things that much. But apparently they had to do it due to some rights issues with Todbringer so I will give them a pass.

Their comment: Because licence of the old record is not completely ours, and additionally, all recordings were deleted by the former recording studio this is the only way that this album can be released again as a full re-recorded reinterpretation. Realized together with Klangschmiede Studio E and Markus Stock in 2023-2024. In our opinion this record hits the nail on the head. Packed with recent vitality and executed with refined abilities while also staying true to the atmosphere and devastation created in 2016. But decide for yourself.
