The Flight Of Sleipnir used to release a new album almost every year, but now they've spaced out their release schedule significantly, so I can't blame anyone for not being familiar with them, and not knowing about how black, folk, and doom metal have been merged by them.

I've been following these guys for over a decade now, and they've never disappointed me. This record is downright stunning, bringing the folk/psychedelic/stoner elements of their sound to the forefront. Some cool solo passages, memorable dreamy songwriting and a compelling, instantly recognizable atmosphere...

And as usual, the artwork is gorgeous. Probably my favorite band when it comes to the visual presentation of their work, just check out their earlier 'Skadi' album.

Weird artwork, but music is ok, has heavynes has softer songs, harsh and calmer vocals and genres in blander. Stoner, doom a bit folky ones. Good album.

I don't love this band's music, but I can appreciate how cohesively they manage to write music that defies easy categorization. There's obviously elements of doom, black and folk metal interspersed across the album (tbh I don't really pick up the stoner metal here), but I'd struggle to find a way to describe it other than 'occasionally it sounds like Agalloch'

This is a great album with fantastic songwriting and such a wide variety of styles. The last song reminds me of Wayfarer, and I do hear glimpses of Agalloch too
