What the hell happened here? The magic they found on 666 Goats has more or less evaporated. It sounds all over the place to me. I'm hoping it's going to grow on me, but at the moment it's largely, very disappointing 😞

Way too much fun. The Mercyful Fate and Iron Maiden influences are a bit more prominent, but they have incorporated a bit more death and black metal tendencies as well. What a blast of an album

Great album! When I read "The magic they found on 666 Goats has more or less evaporated..." I thought it will be bad one - but it isn't. This album is not as much "insane" "black" and "speedy" as 666 goats, but it's different in good way: compositions are better, music is well balanced and the parts you can "feel" Iron Maiden or King Diamond are precious ! I would say it's real "modern" Heavy Metal. It's raw, load, quick and funny. I want more!

Written by Pelcu on 19.11.2024 at 00:57 Perhaps that was slightly over the top. I gave a slightly more restrained thought in the review section, but I'm still underwhelmed by this release. I've tried it 3-4 times and I don't think I'll be returning any time soon now. Thankfully I still have 666 Goats, Hellripper, and the latest Midnight to call upon when I get that blackened speed metal itch.
